Motherhood is such a blessing to behold.
But, sometimes it can make you
Feel like you’re about to unfold.
But just think back to when your baby was young

And still laying in your womb.
You were waiting anxiously to see your little bloom.
You could not hear their cry,
And even feel their kicking without so much of a try.
Sometimes this would go on for hours,
Or all night through
And that’s no lie.
This was probably do to the fact that
They were running out of room.
By this time you are anxiously
Waiting for the baby to come due;
In fact the baby wants the same thing too.
Before you know it, the time does come soon.
Sometimes it feels like hours
Or to the lucky ones just a few
And before you even know it,
It’s time to push the baby on through.
Did I mention how much pain comes with that?
I guess this is not a good thing to say to a pregnant woman
Who is laying there flat?
Sorry, I must be scaring you.
You need not to worry because God is there by your side.
You just need to ask HIM to help you with this ride.
With God on your side you will make it through.
The pain you go through in labor is so worth every penny.
When the baby is now here,
You and your husband will now cheer,
And so will many.
Along with this you both will shed a tear or two,
And not to mention the baby will too.
Theirs will sound more like a scream,
As if they were rooting on for a team.
It’s such a miracle! There is no other way to describe it
For this is so true.
These feelings you have will never go away.
In fact you will always cherish these memories
In your heart today;
But before you even know it your little one has now grown,
So don’t waste this time and have it all blown.
As they get older along come the screaming fits,
If they haven’t already;
Its times like these you just want to split
Because the tantrums seem steady;
Then in a blink of an eye
You just wish to cry,
As they are no longer little
And in fact teenagers;
The next thing you know they’ll be asking for the car.
I know what you’re thinking the time seems so far,
but, not really time does go quick
just as the clock does tick.
So cherish your little ones as they are still young.
Go out and have some fun.
Take time to spend with them, and make room for some play
Because before you know it they’re moving out
No longer here with us to stay.
Now all that mess they made you had wished to go away;
You almost wish you could have it all back if it
Meant to have your child here today;
It’s moments like this that make you realize
How truly blessed you’ve been.
So that’s why it’s important to enjoy every second
You have been given.
Do not take any of it for granted
To which God has planted.
Remember there are always three words you need to say to your child And that is “I love you”
And make sure you say it not once, but everyday.
