Life is a Road

Life is like traveling down an untraveled road.
Some of these are long but some are very short,
Some are new and yet others can be very old.
When you are traveling down the road it may sometimes
Seem to be very smooth then in an instant
It could soon get very bumpy or rough.
That’s how life can also be
As there are times it can be rather easy and smooth
And there will be many other moments
It can also be very tough.
Sometimes are lives are like some of these roads as
They are very long
But, there are yet those on the other hand that somehow
Seem to be cut way too short.
We need to keep moving along, accepting what may
Come our way, if we are to have any happiness of any sort,
And that is because we are always left
Taking the familiar safer route;
We may never get too far ahead in life, leaving
Us wandering of all the “what ifs”
as now there is all this unknown doubt.
