Becoming a Teenager

You are now “13”, a teenager how you wished to be.
Time has gone by pretty fast, as your parents look on and see.
You have now grown into this remarkable young lady or young man
That they are so proud of dearly.
These years will also go by so very quickly,
So enjoy the good times with your friends.
Don’t be in a rush about getting older. Enjoy these moments in your life
And don’t be in so much of a hurry for a boyfriend or girlfriend.
It is so important to just spend time with friends.
When you do finally meet and get a boyfriend or girlfriend
You may get your heart broke many of times,
But don’t get discouraged as this happens to the best of us sometimes.
This may make you feel sad and down,
But times will get better and things will eventually turn around.
Being a teenager also comes with getting acne unfortunately too,
But don’t get discouraged, as it will go away eventually in a day or two.
Your life as a teenager has many things to look forward to
And there will be many ups and downs,
But remember most importantly that
Your parents and GOD will always be there for you,
As you go through many of life’s letdowns.
It is because their love for you is consistently around,
whereas security and happiness can also be much found.
